Performed AC maintenance on 1994 carrier condensing unit. On my maintenance I came across A few points of concerns that were addressed. 1. Found the condenser fan motor is leaking oil from the bearing and can cause motor to lock up or pull higher amperage. 2. Secondary motor control becoming week on hermetic side ultimately causing compressor to work harder. The inside terminal is out of range as well due to oil leaking 3. Hi voltage relay showing burnt/putting on contact points. 4. Compressor pulling incredibly high amps due to age and wear and tear 5. Condensing coil wrapped in evasive roots from previous plant. 6. Secondary PVC line for condensate pipe directly to garage floor 7. Indoor blower cabinet completely caked in dirt and hair due to filter not being swapped out enough. 8. Measured refrigerant pressures and found that there may be a restriction within the evaporator coil due to high amounts of dirt and hair 9.
