Arrived on site to perform diagnostic on 2 year old unit. Homeowner states that unit is short cycling, it will turn on and cool for a couple minutes and then shuts off. Believes that it’s an issue with the thermostat. Started outside checking all electrical and components. Unit then shut off and lost low voltage command. Went into attic and found that safety switch was tripped due to water in the secondary port, causing unit to loose power. Drain is clogged and water is moving slowly, causing unit to turn on and off when the water builds up and finally drains out. Went over findings and recommendations. With approval went ahead and cleared out drain line on top and underneath sink. Primed p trap. Helped homeowner reconnect his thermostat to the wifi and his phone. Signed up on ESA maintenance program. System is operational upon departure.
