Customer’s tenant complained of a sewer gas smell around the bathroom toilet. Performed drain diagnostic including opening septic lids to check septic tank level. Septic tank appears to be in good condition and the level is below the inlet baffle opening. Septic lids are in good condition with gasket in tact and properly secured. Caulking was missing around the backside of toilets. Added caulking around toilet and left 1/2 inch opening for weep hole. Toilets appear in good condition in tank and bowl and are flushing properly. No leaks found around the toilets and each toilet is mounted secure to the floor. House is slab on grade. Checked accessible p traps in the kitchen and bathroom which were both full of water. Checked tub overflow and washing machine standpipe for odors and did not detect any. During inspection I did not smell any sewer gas smell in the bathrooms or in the house. Customer recently had their septic tank pumped over the summer. If problem persists we may need to pull
