Customer called in because of leak at water heater at bottom element. breaker also kept popping. Note: Gave options to attempt a repair with the understanding that we could not warranty or guarantee anything. Also gave option for replacement. Warned customer that if this was a issue with the breaker they would have to contact a electrician. Customer chose to move forward with replacement of tank. Customer already had water shut off to building, and tank drained. Removed existing water heater earthquake straps. Removed existing water heater flex’s. Cut away existing T&P drain piping. Removed existing electrical. Removed water heater tank. Installed new earthquake straps. Installed new tank. Installed new water heater flex’s. Reinstalled existing electrical. Installed new shut off at water heater as a curtesy to customer. Note: conversation was had with customer about installation of a thermal expansion tank.
