Performed Precision AC Tune Up on Payne Heat Pump System. Homeowner informed me that the system was having difficulty maintaining temperature inside the home. While checking system, found the Indoor Coil was heavily coated with cat hair and dirt. Brush cleaned the easily accessible pieces off of the Coil. Tested Refrigerant Charge on system. Measured Supply and Return Air Temperatures, and Measured Wet Bulb On System for Superheat measurements. Refrigerant Pressures were within range and the system was cooling at a 20 Degree Supply Versus Return Air Temperature Differential. The Indoor Coil is still dirty and this could be affecting the Refrigerant Pressures in the System. Recommend performing a dry cleaning on the coil and spraying coil with Coil Cleaning Agent to help breakup the buildup on the coil. After coil is cleaned, retest Refrigerant Pressures and reevaluate.
