Performed Six Month Inspection on Amana Furnace. Homeowner informed me upon arrival that we had recently been out to repair a leak on the vent pipe and it was still leaking. The Exhaust Pipe had a Tee Fitting with a Drain Connection. The Barbed drain fitting was cracked and when I tried to remove the fitting it broke. Attempted to remove the broken piece from the threaded fitting but was unable to. Due to the Drain being on the Exhaust which naturally drains through the furnace, eliminated the Tee Fitting and repiped a section of 2†Vent Pipe. Tested operation of system in Low Stage Heat and High Stage Heat while checking Gas Pressures. Updated Control Board Via the App. Inspected Condensate Pump and tested. Checked System settings and increased Air Flow trim by 5%. Checked Air Filter which was clean and in good condition. System is operating to standards at this time.
