Performed Precision AC Tune Up on Second Floor Lennox Heat Pump System. Replaced 14x24x1 Air Filter, Cleaned EZ Trap on Drain Line. Inspected Electrical Components on Indoor and Outdoor Units. Measured Refrigerant Charge and found System was low on Refrigerant. Subcooling was at 3 Degrees and Superheat was at 66 Degrees. Added 3 lbs of 410-A Refrigerant to System. After adding Refrigerant found Subcooling increased to 11 Degrees and the High Side Pressures increased. The Low Side Pressures did not change and Superheat remained around 60 Degrees. The TXV in the Air Handler is restricted and not allowing the Refrigerant to flow properly. Need to replace TXV and retest System. System may need additional Refrigerant after the TXV has been replaced. No Dye was added to the system at this time due to issue with the TXV. Do not recommend operating system until repair can be performed.
