Found severely corroded bolts on domestic coil of 103,000 BTU natural Gas crown boiler with baseboard. Checked other fittings and valves for leaks. Removed right side jacket of boiler to inspect for leaks/visible cracks. Appears as if only the domestic coil plate is leaking. Saw drip on bottom of domestic coil plate. Leak is running down boiler and causing rust but the boiler heat exchanger itself is not leaking. Called Crown leaving a message to call me back personally about price availability and warranty of domestic coil. Ferguson’s or Johnstone will be the distributor. Provided separate estimates for removing water softener system and for replacing boiler plate. Closed fill valve to boiler. Boiler is down.
