Performed Precision AC Tune Up on system. Replaced 16x25x1 Air Filter provided by Homeowner. While inspecting Electrical Components on System found Blower Motor Capacitor was testing below its rating. Recommend replacement of the 5 Mfd Blower Motor Capacitor. Also found the two Capacitors on the Outdoor Unit were testing within ratings, but are corroded and rusted. Would recommend replacement of the 35 Mfd and 5 Mfd Capacitor for the Outdoor Unit. While testing system, found the Outdoor Fan Motor would start at a slow speed and then would increase to its normal operating speed. The Fan slowed down during operation momentarily and then increased back to normal speed. This is indicating that the Fan Motor is starting to wear and could fail. Manufacturer and exact age of the AC system are unknown, but it is estimated to be about 20-25 Years old. Would recommend replacement of the Furnace/AC system due to age and condition.
