Noise coming from outside unit, found unit off upon arrival, informed customer to set thermostat to 65 ac mode, check ac operation, after a minute of running unit started making noise, noise is coming compressor, compressor is making grinding noise when it runs, check refrigerant cycle, pressures r22 are 200/70, noticed line set has two liquid line filter driers, one of them could be damaged that could’ve cost compressor failure, piston as meter device, based on today’s findings final diagnostic malfunctioning compressor, new compressor is needed, removed old filter driers and installed New filter drier...emailed proposal to make repairs, due to high costs in repair And unit being r22 would recommend replacing system
