Service call that there was a burning odor coming coming from the Gas Furnace. Upon arrival found system shut off at the thermostat and a burning smell present in the house and around the Furnace in the Basement. Put the system in operation and tested. Blower Motor strayed up properly and combustion levels were within range. Allowed system to run and monitored. Checked Ignition Control Board and Variable Speed Blower. Removed the Module Head of the Blower Motor and inspected. The Blower Motor has an Power Conditioner that is very worn and rusted. Inspected all wiring and found no burnt or damaged wires. Cycled system multiple times and could not find a definitive source for the smell. The Air Filter was dirty and could have been blocking the Air Flow and causing the furnace to overheat. If the Windings inside the Blower Motor are starting to fail they could create a burning odor. The Furnace is 20 Years and the components are worn and in poor condition. Would recommend the replacement
