Pump Down 410-A refrigerant and reclaim. Remove the old TXV by mechanical connections or sweating the TXV out to remove. Remove the current Filter Drier on the Outdoor Unit. Braze in new Outdoor TXV or reinstall using Mechanical Connections. Braze in a new Bi-Directional Filter Drier. Pressure test system and inspect connections to insure system is holding pressure and there are no leaks. Perform Triple Evacuation on system to below 500 Microns. Add Manufacturer charge to system and put in operation. Test system in Heating Mode and record Refrigerant Temperatures/Pressures. Add additional charge as needed. 10/28/19. Pumped down system to 365 microns, added 7 lbs of r 410 and tested system in both heating and cooling. Ambient air temp is 68 degrees. Pressures in cooling were 241/128 with 9.3 subcooling. Then in heating mode pressures were 355/122. Heat pump is working again.
