Found double pole contactor on strip heater chatering and not pulling in to bring on emergency heat. Found that after removing wires to contacter had 24 volt volts constant. Replaced double pole contactor with one we had on the truck also found thermostat had a little electrical smell to it . So replaced Honeywell t-6 thermostat and not strip heater is functioning drawling 43 amps. Also changed fan speed from low to medium high. We made this change beacause of having an 80 degree temperature rise with the emergence heat. Everything is working fine now..
