Removed water heater . We had to disconnect the gas , high voltage and condensate piping from furnace to get the water heater out of the closet. Installed new 40 gal natural gas water heater . Reconnected hot and cold water pipes . We installed a new ball valve for the water heater . The shut off before was in the back and very hard to get to . Now it’s in the front and ez access. We reconnected gas and exhaust pipe to the water heater . We bubble tested the gas line . We reconnected condensate pipe , gas pipe with bubble test and high voltage to the furnace. The furnace off and on switch was cracked at the back of the switch so I replace the switch with a new one . Tested both furnace and water heater and both were running to standards. I would recommend the furnace to be serviced due to the age of the equipment and the last time it was serviced.
