Service call the Air Conditioner was not working. Arrived onsite and spoke with the Homeowner about issue. Found that the system was not running and the Thermostat was completely blank. Proceeded to the Air Handler to diagnose. Found the Wet Switch had been tripped which cut power to the system and shut it down. After speaking with the Homeowner in more detail was informed that the Basement has been experiencing water damage and leakage, and it is originating in the room with the Air Handler. If the Floor became damp it would trip the Wet Switch. Tested operation of system. Cleaned Drain Line and Condensation Pump. Checked Refrigerant Charge to ensure that their was no issue with Refrigerant that could have caused the Indoor Coil to freeze up and leak. Refrigerant numbers were to standards. Placed Wet Switch on a Paper Towel to help it from tripping if the Basement Floor became damp again. Would also recommend the Installation of an EZ Trap onto the Drain Line. This Safety device will
