7.5 ton unit not cooling properly, found unit running upon arrival thermostat set to 72 room temp 77 check temp split 86/66 check filters ok, noticed return vents are located in kitchen area pulling hot air, check outdoor heat pump, found unit to be low on refrigerant, called Ed and quoted to add refrigerant, could not tell how much refrigerant will take 7.5 ton with 7.5 air handler can take more than 10 lbs Ed approved adding refrigerant and also adding dye, added total of 13 lbs of 410A refrigerant charge unit by manufacture dat plate, super heat between 12 to 15 degrees and sub cooling by charge chart provided at the plate. Noticed only two returns are located in the kitchen area, pulling hot air from ovens, also thermostat is located on kitchen wall. We need to come back in about 35 days to check indoor and outdoor coil for any possible leaks service charge will be applied to check for leaks
