No cooling. 3 Ton R410A split system with TXV. Found tripped breaker. Before resetting breaker checked wiring/connections. Checked compressor windings with MegaOhmeter; ok. Each winding 700+ MOhms. Checked 45/5 MFD capacitor ok. Replaced 16x25x1 Filter. Reset breaker. Monitored pressures. Checked compressor amps 7.37 ok. Found high superheat 35.9. and high subcooling 14.6 Checked temp split 6.8. Verified that Airflow dipswitches were set for 3 ton system. Checked temp split at return grill and supply grill at 1st floor 10F. System is undercharged. Discussed options with homeowners. Decided to add leak detection dye to system.
