Service call that the Air Conditioner which supplies the main part of the Home was not Cooling, and the Indoor Coil was freezing up. The System which supplies the Addition to the Home was working but some frost was noted on the Outside Lineset. Turned the Addition System on and tested operation. Measured Refrigerant Charge on Unit. Refrigerant levels were to standards. Checked Capacitor on Outdoor Unit and Checked Air Filter. Supply Air Temperature was at 49 Degrees and Return Air was at 69 Degrees. Proceeded to the system for the Main Part of the Home. Turned System on and measured Refrigerant Charge. Found system was low on Refrigerant. Added 3lbs of R-22 Refrigerant to System. System was producing a 10 Degree Supply versus Return Temperature Split and upon adding Refrigerant the Supply Temperature lowered to 55 Degrees with a 75 Degree Return Temperature. The Main Home System is from 1987. Due to age of system, and condition of losing Refrigerant, Recommend replacement of the AC
