When I arrived got homeowner to turn up thermostat several degrees to get furnace to go up into second stage. After furnace went up into second stage, could hear whistling noise. Found one seam on top of 1†filter rack that could be sealed a little more. So added tape and silicone around joints at bottom of return drop and turned on furnace again. After furnace went up into second stage still had whistling noise. Then adjusted second stage heating dip switch’s to drop blower speed to lowest setting for second stage heating. This did decrease the whistling sound significantly. Also checked temp rise was 45 degrees after making changes. Homeowner will let’s us know if they are satisfied or want to go a step further.
