Turned on system at thermostat. Found indoor air handler blower running. Homeowner had removed filter cabinet door to pull in cool air from basement. Went outside to outdoor heat pump and found 18 year old heat pump low on r-22. Pressures were 142/13 almost flat. Explained to homeowner that we can add charge to the system but do not recommend due age of system and not knowing how long charge will last. Homeowner would like a comfort consultant to give them a price.
