When I first arrived checked thermostat temperature setting. Thermostat was set to 70 degrees and temperature was at 70 degrees. Homeowner described it to feel humid on a day when it was not very hot outside and the unit was not cycling as much. Explained to homeowner that this is normal if the system isn’t operating the humidity will not be reduced on those days. Used a psycrometer and checked the humidity level it was at 51% not to bad. Air handler has an x13 constant torque motor. Checked temperature split, had a 19 degrees temperature split. Checked refrigerant pressures at 82 degrees. Pressures were 315/121 with 7 degrees of subcooling. System is working fine at time of service. Mentioned to customer that we can install a whole house dehumidifier system to help regulate humidity levels, he is not interested in this at this time.
