Service call that the AC was not working. Upon arrival, spoke with homeowner about issue. Found Blower Motor Running but the Outdoor Unit was not turning on. Proceeded to air handler in attic space. Found Auxiliary Pan had water in it and had tripped the Wet Switch. Removed Wet Switch and dried contacts, and reset. Dried up the water in the pan and tested system. Found Air Filter was very dirty and was blocking air flow. Replaced 18x20x1 Air Filter. Measured refrigerant charge and system was running at manufacturers specifications. If the Air Filter became too dirty it would have blocked the air flow and caused the indoor coil to freeze. When the coil defrosted it could have leaked into the Auxiliary Pan causing the wet switch to trip. Under brief inspection did find the Flex Duct in the Attic is very poorly ran and in several areas there are kinked sections of flex duct. The office will call to schedule the AC Tune Up under the Service Membership.
