Service call that the Heat Pump was running non stop. Upon arrival found thermostat set to 65 Degrees and temperature was satisfied. Turned temperature up to test operation. Measured air Temperatures and was measuring about a 15 Degree Temperature rise. Checked refrigerant pressures and system appeared to be low on refrigerant. On previous visit had added refrigerant and leak dye to system. Used UV Light and searched indoor and outdoor unit for signs of a leak. Could not find any leak point in the system. To get system back up and running began adding refrigerant to system. Found the Suction Refrigerant pressure was not increasing and the high pressure was rising. The Outdoor TXV is restricted and is not allowing the proper amount of refrigerant to flow through the system. Will need to replace TXV for the system to operate properly. As system needed refrigerant charge on last visit, system may also have a leak that would be an additional repair once the leak point has been determined.
