Conducted site visit with Rheem support, Brent Tested airflow and system performance in heat mode and cooling Checked static pressure, temperature rise, refrigerant pressures, and zone dampering. System is fully functional in all aspects of performance. Rheem app on homeowners home and the thermostat have connectivity issues and losing the ability to remotely control indoor air temperature. Recommend contacting internet provider and confirming 2.4 MHz operating range and possible band width limitations

Arrived to multiple communication faults Removed both thermostats and checked for presence of ferrite rings on thermostat wires. Both thermostats were missing ferrite rings. Installed ferrite ring on main floor thermostat. Re-mounted both thermostats, ensuring both were properly seated and secure to the mounting bracket Re-wired all low-voltage control wires utilizing pigtails with wire nuts Tested system, main floor thermostat is utilizing version 04 software, will contact Rheem to confirm proper software version. System was tested in fan mode, heat mode and cool mode. System was operated from both thermostats and phone app. System was forced into each mode multiple times. System functioned as designed with no fault reported in Need to confirm software and add ferrite ring to downstairs thermostat

Getting multiple error codes in history photo attached*, Homeowner stated turned to fan and then cool mode and then error codes activated. Switched to regular cool mode, getting fluctuating voltage 1-4V from e1, e2 to common on outdoor AC, with 27V at Red to common. Outdoor unit is operating properly. At zone board on damper getting 27V on Zone 1 Power open to common, (normal operation). At zone board on equipment side E1,E2 to common getting fluctuating voltage 1-4V. R-C 27V at zone board. Started up in Charge mode test, zone damper test, was unable to replicate code. Switched system off the to fan on then to cool and did not replicate code.system is likely having intermittent communication error, Unable to replicate faults, homeowner has concerns of system issue, also noted the gap space between filter door is not up to customer satisfaction, adding thicker foam tape will close gaps, homeowner noted filter is also dirty after 1 month after installation, informed typically is normal f

Arrived to poor heating in home and room imbalance Identified failed outdoor piston, diagnostics photos attached. System is operating 15-20* below normal operating temperature causing system to go in to defrost more frequently, reducing capacity and once outdoor temps get so low it’s causing the system to lockout on low pressure. Supplemental heat is operating at a higher rate than designed causing high energy bills. System requires dampers and duct modification to properly balance the home. Back bedrooms are receiving to much air with other rooms receiving very little air. Homeowner request quote to repair outdoor unit and request a comfort specialist to resolve airflow/comfort issues.
