Repaired an American Standard Silver 16 AC unit that was running but not producing cool air. Diagnosed the issue as a refrigerant leak and a faulty capacitor. Located and sealed the refrigerant leak in the evaporator coil, then recharged the system with R-410A refrigerant to the manufacturer's specifications. Replaced the faulty capacitor to ensure proper electrical operation of the compressor and fan motor. Cleaned the condenser and evaporator coils to improve heat exchange efficiency. Checked system pressures and adjusted for optimal superheat and subcooling values. Verified all electrical connections and tested the thermostat for accurate temperature control. The unit now cools efficiently and reliably.
