Completed furnace and ac test and tune. Found indoor coil actively leaking refrigerant which runs on R22, this is the old style refrigerant that is bad for the environment and is being phased out by 2020. Justine came out to discuss replacement. No other issues at this time.
Found wire not connected to the high limit switch causing just the blower motor to run on call for heat. Secured wire no other issues or concerns at this time.
Test and tune on Lennox high efficiency natural gas furnace.
Installed UV dye into systsem and 1.5 pounds of R410a. System was frozen upon arrival. We will return in a week or two to look for the leak with UV bulb. Tightened up packing nut at metering device.
Discussed issue with customer and the outside unit seemed to be the issue when I removed the cover I found a rodents nest and power lines chewed through not allowing a good 240V. Installed new contacter due to old one being burnt and corroded. Ensured proper operation. Checked refrigerant level. No other issues found at this time.
Test and tune on Amana high efficiency natural gas furnace.
Upon arrival circulator pump for mud room make loud grinding noise and family room dining area pump has high amp draw and is very hot. Boiler was also displaying A05 code for internal fault. Pressure was also at 0. After discussing with factory rep determined that the control board was bad and not communicating properly. Installed two new circulator pumps, boiler relief, expansion tank, and control board kit. Ensured proper operation no more fault codes or leaks.
House temp had started to climb and was now at 66 upon arrival. After checking previous fault codes found unit tripped on pressure switch stuck open(3 flashes). Checked vent piping outside and found snow inside of intake removed as much of the snow as possible. Exhaust Vent piping outside should be repiped so that it is not so close to the ground and is above intake pipe.
