Completed furnace test and tune. Discussed static pressure, humidifier, corrosion on coil, MegOhm test reading 100megohms on compressor windings. Customer is aware of all my concerns and will look at replacement next season.comfort select plan still active. Discussed addons, declined at this time.
Service-system had dirty filter causing blower motor to work harder and make loud noise, replaced filter and noise went away. Dual capacitor out of tolerance, but declined repairing at his time.
Upon completing furnace and ac test and tune. Found indoor coil leaking Freon, and the system runs on R22. Got Justine out to go over repair vs replace options for ac. Also on the furnace side found igniter and capacitor out of tolerance and recommend replacing them before next heating season, installed recomended parts. Discussed comfort select plan for future inspections, declined at this time. Talked about add ons, not interested at this time.
Upon arrival, customer had explained that the outdoor fan was turning on but could not hear the compressor turn on. I found wires inside electrical cabinet of condenser, melted and fried to each other. Tested capacitor, performed MegOhm test, all electrical components check out ok. Re-wired all chard wires, ensured proper operation then continued with AC inspection. Installed new filter and condensate trap pan treatment pellet. No other operational issues or concerns at this time.
First year checkup on Amana air conditioner.
Service call no hot water on Whirlpool natural gas hot water tank.
Disassembled window unit, cleaned condensing coil due to it being plugged with dirt. Dual capacitor rated for 35/5 reading 34/4.8. Compressor checks out ok. No other operational issues at this time, ensured proper 20-25 degree temperature drop.
Completed ac test and tune, installed customer supplied filter. No operational issues at this time, only concern was that the static pressure is slightly high at 1.2, currently not causing any performance issues, could cause excessive noise through duct work but isn’t at this time. Renewed comfort select plan for future visits.
Service call no cool on Amana air conditioner.
Test and tune on Amana high efficiency natural gas furnace and air conditioner.
Installed condensate pump, recipes humidifier, and ac drain lines. No other issue or concerns at this time. Tested operation of condensate pump.
Determined that the flame sensor was dirty not allowing proper reading. Cleaned flame sensor and system started up and ran in normal operation. Dirty flame sensor is due from lack of yearly maintanence. They are current members as of November but prior to this season 2016was the last time any maintanence was done. Expressed importance of having maintenance done yearly.
Static pressure is on the high side at .6 possibly because the use of a washable filter, recomended switching to desposable filters, inducer motor has higher amp draw than what it’s rated indicating potential failure and little oil is present on exterior of blower motor showing signs of age. Current humidifier supply water was off and humidistat was also off. No other immediate issues found at this time. Renewed comfort select plan for future visit and savings.
