I removed a Carrier Electric furnace and heat pump. I installed a Five Star Multi-Speed 3 Ton Electric Furnace / Fan and a Five Star 13 SEER 3 Ton Air Conditioner. Cycled and monitored the system. Operating normally at this time. Included with the installation is a free 1 year service maintenance agreement. Did not get pictures of new installation.
I arrived to perform a diagnostic service call on an air conditioner both inside and outside. Remove cover of coral verified and I had good airflow. After arriving outside was within spec. Turn back inside unit has variable speed ECM motor utilizing an ECM tester verified that module was good. Filter was clean. Allowed system to run approximately 20 minutes with no issues. At time of departure system operational.

I arrived to perform a diagnostic service call on an air conditioner. Upon arrival, I found compressor not coming on due to a bad cap. Replaced both compressor cap and fan cap. Compressor is running for like 10min then shutting off and then kicking back on about 2min later. Advised client compressor is going out. Client opted to finance a new system. Waived diagnostic.
I arrived to perform a diagnostic service call on an air conditioner. Client complaint, unit will run for 15min then it will kill the power to everything in the house. Found filter completely clogged/removed. Blower cap-14.5/15 ok Clogged condenser coil/washed off Dual cap-33.3/3 rated 35/5 Contactor is pitted. Compressor-8.3 rated 14.1 Refrigerant levels:64/200 37SH LOW/LEAKING. Client wants unit filled. Added 1lb New levels:81/233 16.5SH After I got done filling unit all the power turned off, found 100A main breaker tripped. Breaker is also very hot. Removed breaker panel and found no issues there. There is a burnt electrical smell coming from around the breaker box. Advised client to call an electrician. This issue is not related to the HVAC.
I arrived to a diagnostic service call. Found furnace box full of water. Used a shop vac to get all the water out. Verified drain wasn’t clogged. Failed dual cap/replaced. Compressor-8.7 rated-16.7 Fan-0.8 rated-1.1 35SH LOW/LEAKING/FREEZING UP. This is the second time client has had to add refrigerant and system is only 9yrs old. Gave options. Client wants it filled. Added 1lb. Refrigerant levels:126/336 11.5SH.
I arrived to a diagnostic for a unit that would not come on. Upon inspection, I discovered that the t-stat was bad, so I replaced it. The filter on the unit needs changed. Dual cap - 34/5 rated 35/5 - Contactor is pitted. Checked refrigerant lvls - 80/237 23SH. I provided the customer with a quote for a new system and he decided to move forward with it. Waived t-stat charge and charged for diagnostic.
I performed an estimate for an AC unit. Customer informed me that their budget is $2,000, so I did not end up sending over the quote as it would be out of their price range.

I arrived to a diagnostic call about a unit that was making a cracking sound. Upon inspection, I informed the client that the unit was empty, and that the compressor sounded like it had something broken inside of it. Client has opted to replace the unit.

I arrived to a diagnostic service call. Upon arrival customer stated system wasn't cooling at all. Found indoor filter clean. Blower Capacitor within spec and speed taps in correct position for cooling. Still has limited airflow due to age of furnace and blower. After locating condenser found contactor pulled in but unable to pull all the way to the seated position. Also found only 120v at contactor. Replaced contactor and fuses in disconnect. Started system. Found refrigerant to be low but due to air flow had temp split of 22 degrees. Informed customer of this. Allowed system to run for approximately 15 to 20 minutes with no further issues. System operational upon departure.
