Customer states that current 40 gallon water heater is over 20 years old. Corrosion was observed on top of tank and customer was having difficulty with water heater staying lit. Recommended to replace existing unit with an upgraded 50 gallon natural gas water heater. Will install new water heater and required expansion tank with new ball valves. Will also remove the exiting tank and dispose of same. Installed Bradford White 50 gallon gas natural vent water heater, expansion tank with 3/4 ball valves, supported expansion tank with threaded rod and copper hanger. 3 inch flue pipe to vent into existing stack. Also installed water heater on drip pan. Pressurized system and checked for leaks. Checked for gas leaks - negative. Ignited pilot and water heater burner and ran to customer had hot water; and adjusted setting to customers preference. Cleaned up work area and received payment in full. Customer was very happy with all work performed.
