Arrived to the customer house. The customer wanted the system to bleed. But I explained to him that to do that, he first had to make a minor diagnosis. The customer approved the minor diagnosis. I proceeded to check the system, when I turned on the thermostat the unit did not work. I proceeded to open the wires box of the unit and noticed that a cable was loose from a safety switch, I proceeded to check the safety switch and it was not damaged. Recommended replace the safety switch. Customer say he want to doing by him self. Customer declined the estimate. Customer is happy with the service.

Met with David at 253 Mountain Rd. In Shokan, NY. Whom quickly showed me the oil tank and furnace. Could not change the oil tank filter as it is outside without a filter cartridge. Moved to the inside furnace and removed the pump cover, replaced the pump gasket and strainer. Unit was bone dry. Opened up the burner and removed the gun assembly. Took outside and cleaned the gun assembly, electrodes and nozzle. Check the adjustments and settings and they appear to be good. Could not light off the furnace, as the oil tank was empty. A combustion test is recommended for this unit.

Showed up to 263 Mountain Dr. in Shokan NY. Met David’s wife who directed us to the basement. Began by shutting off the firematic valve to the oil tank and burner. Replaced the oil tank filter and pump strainer. Removed the gun assembly, checked the nozzle and electrodes adjustments. All are within specs. Cleaned the burner tube, electrodes and head assembly. Reassembled the unit. Opened up the valves and bled the pump. Fired up the boiler and watched it cycle. Checked the air gap settings and damper. All are good. No issues.
