I completed an install on a Carrier 13 SEER 2.5 Ton Air Conditioner. Customer did not have A/C upon arrival. System fully functional at the time of departure.

When I arrived, I saw the heat pump still had ice on it. I was able to chip enough away to replace the defrost sensor. I advised the customer we would need to wait for the system to fully thaw before running it and making sure everything was working. System not operational due to the heat pump still having ice build up.
Upon arrival, I found the heat pump was covered in ice and is unable to be worked on. I quoted the customer a new defrost sensor so they could think about it and informed them to contact us again when the ice had thawed.

The 2015 Rheem System is in a vacuum indicating that we have a massive leak somewhere that is allowing the compressor to suck in outside air. There is no refrigerant left in this system and this does also mean that the AC compressor could potentially be have been “compressing” none compressables.
Arrived on site customer says the outdoor Carrier system won’t turn on kept house real cool up till yesterday. He replaced the fuses in out door disconnect then called us. Thermostat is calling for cooling have 238v have 23v across contactor. Contactor should be Pulled in and turning system on. Contactor has failed at this time needs to be replaced for the system to turn on. Customer approved wired in new one system came back on. Gauged up to system to check pressures 70/240 4 degrees superheat system is functioning very well
