We have been very happy with our Service from Huft Heating & air. We will be referring them to our friends and family
Chris was our tech from Huft Heating and air to do our service on our HAVC unit. Chris was on time and very respectful, he was very thorough.
Andre was detailed and deliberate in his evaluation of my A/C system.
Performed nitrogen leak test. Found leaking at liquid line service valve, removed and replaced schrader core. No leak was detected elsewhere today. Added dye and recommend to recheck charge again at a later date. Will also reschedule to enlarge return can, will get with C. Lane. System is operating properly.
Performed real estate inspection for American Standard split system. Checked all safeties and connections. Checked ductwork. Checked filter. Tested and ran outdoor unit. Washed outdoor unit. System is operational at this time.
Took pictures of ducts, attic access is very limited. Stated that when originally first installed, enlarging the return was not possible, will get with management. Found system was low on refrigerant, added 3.5 lbs 410a to spec. No traces of uv dye or leak detected today, will reschedule feb. 8 to pressurized system and search for leak. System is currently heating with 27 temp split.
Went through ductwork replacement option with homeowner. He will look it over and decide what to do.
Upon arrival customer stated dripping noise coming from inside of wall from upstairs hallway bathroom. Attempted to duplicate dripping noise by running faucet, shower, and flushing toilet. No dripping noise. On the way out dripping noise occurred. Crawled in attic to try to locate possible leak. No evident leak. Opened small square under vanity sink to expose piping. Portion that was exposed didn’t have any evidence of leaks. Customer didn’t want to go with further demolition of wall. He will be opening wall in attempt to find leak and contact Huft to get quotes for possible repairs.
Performed fall maintenance on heat pump package unit. Tstat properly calls for heat cycle. Replaced air filter. Checked electrical connections. Dual capacitor tests within spec. Compressor rla 19/22. Outdoor fan motor fla .8/.9A. Temp rise at 28 with heat strips. Cleaned condenser coil. Contactor okay no arcing or pitting. Return is undersized for size of equipment, duct poor condition. Condenser fan motor has oil loss. Found heat strip sequencers with burned wires, one sequencers non op. Suggested replacing entire heat strip kit. Routine cleaning with club program
Performed a diagnostic on a mini split system. Found bad control board and system low in R22 refrigerant. Couldn’t inspect ductwork because it runs in between floors. Homeowner will talk to her husband and decide what to do.
Performed heat maintenance. Heat rise is within specs. Filter recently changed. Flushed drain line, amp draws are within specs, outdoor coil was clean. Refrigerant pressures are within specs. System is operational at this time.
Performed heating tuneup for both train heat pump package units. Checked both systems in heating mode. Checked all safeties and connections. Checked filters. Washed outdoor unit. Replaced capacitor for downstairs unit. Systems are operational at this time. Renewed on super hero club membership for both systems and has two more visits left.
Preformed furnace tuneup on a Rheem system system has no air purifier no other issues or concerns at this time system is operational
Checked to see if the second(smaller) return in hallway past kitchen. There is no usable access into the attic at this time, so I had to take the grill and can down to check. There is space to increase the size of the can length wise but not by width. We can get a 25x14 can and grill in. Upsizing the duct would be extremely difficult now. The attic is blown in with deep bury, so anything we do will make a good sized mess.
Performed Sidekick visit. Completed heating and AC inspection and tune up on Lennox heat pump package unit. System is operating properly at this time. Today is the last visit. Spoke with customer about club memberships.
Found bad compressor and hardstart kit. Gave homeowner an estimate for repairs and a new unit. Homeowner will get back to us on their decision.
Kitchen line hydro jet
Checked a/c operations, all components, and safeties. System operations ok at this time. Gave homeowner an estimate for a whole house fan.
