Lost power at the house the other day and it caused some minor issues with my A/C unit. Huft sent a man out in just a couple of hours to fix it and the cool air was back! As always, safe, clean, and professional.
Removed cartridge from lav sink faucet and saw a pebble stuck. Took pebble out of cartridge and returned water to faucet. Fixed leaked.
Upon arrival system cycled on. Main concern was that the furnace wasn’t working correctly. Went into the attic and found that the issue with the furnace was intermittent, Diagnosed intermittent issues with control board. Pulled board out and found a cracked solder pin connection. Performed safety inspection on the furnace and found and are of concern at cell #2 through the blower cabinet at the back eyelet. Went over options with homeowners, they want to wait and discuss things amongst themselves. Signed Safety 1st form. HVAC intermittently operational at this time.
Upon arrival homeowner played a recording of a sound issue with outdoor unit. Tested and ran system at 100% heating mode via thermostat. Allowed system to run for 5 to 10 minutes and checked noise level on outdoor unit, system ran normally with no issues. Informed homeowner noise issue possibly came from a tree branch or rock possibly stuck inside fan when running causing noise issue. Informed homeowner to keep an eye out for noise issue and contact us if problem still occurs. Also showed homeowner how to turn fan on continuously for system instead of circulate. System is operational at this time.
Quoted new Fujitsu Ductless Mini-Split system.
Gave homeowner an estimate for a new ductless mini split system for the garage. Homeowner will talk to his wife and HOA and decide what to do and call us back.
Upon arrival customer noticed that showers in downstairs and hall bathroom wouldn’t turn on. Cartridges are stiff recommend replacing them. Next pulled toilet from master bathroom and noticed that closet flange was Installed below finished floor. Left toilet removed from flange to return and replace flange. Plugged drain to prevent smells. Next ran hydrojetter downstream of clean out in backyard and camera after. Saw no roots in sewer but did noticed that septic tank was full. Finally swapped 40gl Bradford White water heater with new 50gl Rheem, new supply lines, new expansion tank and new sediment trap. Turned water heater on with no issues.
Customer wanted estimate to install kitchen faucet and estimate for whole house filter.
Performed a diagnostic on a York heat pump system. Found unit flat in R22 refrigerant causing outdoor coil to freeze up. Also found bad defrost sensors causing unit not to go into defrost board. System has a refrigerant leak. Ductwork under home is also deteriorating. Emailed property manager estimates for repairs and replacement options.
Kitchen drain broken and leaking through subfloor into crawl space, drain material made of ABS, per home owner, house was made in ‘89, house was piped in “Gable†ABS, ABS proven to be defective at glue joints and known to deteriorate over time Spot repair( temporary repair) to be done as of now due to cst request No warranty on spot repair or drain pipe due to condition of existing pipe Spot repair to consist of husky bands to connect to existing drain line, to remove up to 5ft of affected ABS to properly repair, also during initial investigations found similar piping through out house, located secondary spot that is leaking at joint of Wye along branch line Recommending branch lines in entirety under house to be removed and replaced with none defective pipe Clear impacted kitchen drain. Line with hydro jetter No warranty on repairs due to existing pipe defective type
Upon arrival thermostat was showing code 205, indicating that a gas valve relay was stuck closed and not allowing system to heat home. Reset system and cleared alert code, system came on with no issues and ran for 30 minutes. Cycled system on and off five more times to see if fault code will occur again. No fault code showed up and system ran without any issues present. Informed homeowner to give us a call back if code shows back up. Informed homeowner that gas valve is likely intermittently working. Homeowner will hold off on repair for now until part fails before repairing. System is operational at this time.
Went over insulation and ducting options. Found that plumbing under kitchen sink is pouring out water when running. Setting appt for plumber to come out.
Upon arrival homeowner stated that the thermostat was set to 72° and system was not heating when calling for heat. Upon diagnostic ran system in heating mode for 30 minutes and system came on with no issues. Checked all safeties and connections, cleaned flame sensor, checked gas valve. System is operational at this time. Informed homeowner to give us a call if problem still persists. Signed up on super hero club
Performed a diagnostic on a 4 year Goodman unit. Found an Aprilaire communicating thermostat blank. Reset thermostat and cycled unit. System operations ok at this time. Signed up for a guardian club on both units.
Performed tuneup on Ruud furnace. Found small gas leak at inlet of gas valve. Repaired leak. All other checks are within specifications and maintenances performed. System is operational at this time. MERV Cabinet is install on system. 16x25x5
