Re-insulated attic, also re-attaches supply can in one room.
Found systems suction line icing up. System low on refrigerant. Recovered refrigerant and found leak at flare of suction line at evaporator. Cut and flared fitting and tightened up. Pressure tested with nitrogen. Pulled vacuum and charged to specs with new refrigerant. Reran primary line. Found that system has a condensate pump inside for secondary line. Ran new secondary line for it. Redid platform so it was not crushing electrical. Redid disconnect box and vulcumed around lineset seal. Leveled out condenser that had bad slope to it on roof.
Warranty work on mini split condensation line. The condensation was back flowing in to secondary pan. Pan over flowed and cause a little damage in Sheetrock. The male to female pvc was put together with gasket on outside of pan. I put gasket on inside of pan and tightened up the fitting. Condensation is now flowing in right direction.
Install Lennox 3 ton Elite condenser to matchup with existing down flow furnace and coil. Enlarge downstairs return air to an 18†duct and a 14†X 30†High Flow grill. You might want to use a plenum on top of the furnace to help quiet return air noise. Run 220V circuit to the new condenser. Run refrigeration lines from evaporative coil to the condenser. Install a 2 ton Lennox ductless Heat Pump mini-split system. Place heat pump on the flat roof above the laundry room. Run 220V circuit under the house and run up the wall in the laundry room, (there’s a Sheetrock patch already there) to the flat roof. Place the 2 ton ducted air handler in the attic upstairs and run 3 supply ducts to registers in the two bedrooms and the bathroom. Cut in new return air High Flow grill in the upstairs hallway.
