Performed preventative maintenance on furnace for customer. Customer replaced filter recently. I inspected the blower assembly, blower motor, electrical components, heat exchanger, burners, flame sensor, ignitor, gas valve, inducer motor and overall condition and operation of furnace. Furnace is close to 22 years old, and is still in decent shape. The heat exchanger has some hot spots, but no cracks were found at this time. The inducer motor amps are starting to rise, but still within range. Customer stated that they are interested in replacing the system and moving it into the attic. Customer allowed me to take a look in attic to make sure there is enough room to make that happen. Came to the conclusion that it can happen, but advised customer to have us out to do an estimate and go over options.
