Jake Kring. 08-31-2024. I arrived for a new customer no cool call. I spoke with the homeowner and found that the system was making a squeaky noise and the condenser fan motor had stopped. I inspected the system and found the bearings to be noisy and the capacitor on the compressor side to be weak. I explained my findings to the no and we decided to replace the condenser fan motor and capacitors. I removed the condenser fan motor and installed two separate capacitors for the compressor and condenser fan motor. I then reassembled the system and cycled the system on to check its running operation. We found the system to be running low on refrigerant with a 32.8 deg evap temp. We decided to add what refrigerant the system needed and I added 1.8 pounds of R410A. We set the refrigerant charge per the manufacturer charging diagram per today’s temperatures.
