Came out to call. Customer stated that the AC wasn’t working. They replaced the original thermostat with a nest thermostat and they said a couple months later the system wasn’t working and the thermostat was reading an error code. He put the old thermostat back on and nothing would work. I checked the system over and found the thermostat not allowing the AC to come on. I bypassed the thermostat and found the other issue. The blower motor wasn’t active when calling for AC. I checked the capacitor and found it to be bad and also the wrong size for the system. I replaced the capacitor and the blower started up fine. Wired up the nest thermostat and cycled system on from it and it was working properly. I advised customer that the blower was close to max amps, and could possibly go out soon. Customer wanted to just do the capacitor for now and see if the blower holds up. They moved into the home earlier this year and are in the middle of remodeling the home. I recommend customer have
