Came out to call to do a maintenance tune up on the system. Customer stated that the system started to freeze up sometime this weekend, so they shut it off for awhile and then turned it back on. Customer moved into the home recently and keeps the thermostat set at 65. System has two returns that are built into the walls, and filters also needed to be changed. Changed customer supplied filters out and checked system over. I inspected the blower motor, electrical components, evaporator coil, drain, capacitor, contactor, compressor, fan motor, and condenser coil. Washed condenser coil thoroughly. Checked thermostat operation, amps, temperatures and pressures of condenser. System was operating properly, but was just outside of recommended range for subcooling. System is from 2016, and since the customer hasn’t had any history of the ac, we charged it. I added .9lbs of 410a to system to get proper subcooling. System is cooling properly within manufactured specifications at this time. Reco
