I arrived for a new location no cool call on a previous customer. I first spoke with one of the tenants and found the condenser to be located on the rooftop and the furnace to be on the attic. I inspected the rooftop system first and found the capacitor to have been left on its original package and hanging freely in the electrical cabinet of the condenser. This is why the part failed and shorted the component out. I replaced the capacitor and installed a new bracket and replaced the burnt wires in the electrical cabinet. I then inspected the indoor system and found the filter to be a 14X24 filter in a 14X30 filter grill. This is letting return air bypass the filter and can cause the evaporator coil to stop up with debris and can cause other issues. I went to inspect the evaporator coil and found the flue in front of the coil to be put together with tape, screws, single wall and double wall pipe and sheets of metal. I did not gain access to the evaporator coil due to the condition of th
