Came out to call. Customer said that the system wasn’t coming on correctly and that it kept shutting off after it ran for a few minutes. I checked AC system over and found it tripped on high limit. I reset limit and checked components of condenser. Compressor kicked on but the fan motor isn’t working. I checked the capacitor and it was fine. The motor has gone out and needs to be replaced. Due to it being a 1/12 hp motor, my universal motor won’t work with this system. I let customer now I would have to order the motor in the morning. Came back out to install new 1/12 hp motor and new capacitor. Took out old motor and installed new fan motor in place. Used existing fan blade and secured it to shaft. Tightened bolts down to secure motor. Installed new capacitor. Cycled system on and checked amps, temperatures and pressures of condenser. System is cooling properly.
