Came out to call. System isn’t cooling properly. Refrigerant lines were freezing up. Customer said he had a friend that does heat and air walk him through a few things and they came to a few conclusions. Said the blower motor capacitor could be bad or the motor is too. I checked system over and found the capacitor to be within range, but the blower assembly heavily caked with debri and the motor over heating, leaking oil, and had a burning smell. I discussed with customer about repair vs replace. Customer is planning on moving soon and wants to just repair the system. Cleaned blower wheel. I installed a new 3/4 hp motor with a 20 mfd capacitor. Reinstalled blower assembly and cycled on unit. System is now cooling properly.
