I arrived for a warranty call on a system we installed this year. I spoke with the homeowner and found that the thermostat was blinking and not running. I found the powder to have been turned off by the homeowner due to the thermostat blinking. I apply power to the thermostat and cycled the thermostat on at the thermostat with the homeowner. The thermostat started blinking and this is what the homeowner said it was doing before. I informed the homeowner that this is normal for it to blink. I explained that this is a safety to let the compressor cool down if the thermostat settings change or if you have a quick on and off power issue. We waited for the time delay to pass on the thermostat and the system came on and ran in cooling mode. I then cycled the system on heat and the system came on in heating. I then cycled it back on in cooling mode and the time delay started and after it passed the system came on in cooling mode. I am leaving this call on hold until Monday. I will follow up w
