Came out to call. Customer stated that the system wasn’t cooling properly. Shut off yesterday, but is somewhat cooling today. I checked system over and found the condenser completely clogged with debris. System is a lennox unit with a built in high pressure switch. System most likely shut off due to high head pressures/temperatures because of how dirty the system is. Told customer I would need to clean it and then check the pressures and temperatures again. I washed the condenser coil thoroughly. Checked amps, temperatures and pressures of condenser. System is within range of manufactured specifications for cooling. I checked upstairs to make sure everything was together and working properly. Noticed attic was significantly hotter. Checked attic temperature and it was reaching 145-150. Told customer that the attic needs more ventilation and recommended some attic fans to be installed. The hot attic is causing heat transfer in the ductwork and making the system work harder and longer
