I arrived for a no cool non club member. I spoke with the homeowner and the main issue is the system will run but not cool. I gained access to the indoor system and found the suction line to be leaking refrigerant at the TXV access point and the copper to aluminum fitting. The fitting was overhead when it was installed. This is why it’s leaking refrigerant at this time. I replace the shredder core in the TXV access port and put a new metal cap with a new O ring to prevent this fitting from leaking agin. The copper to alumni fitting is still leaking. I made this aware to the homeowner and we decided to just add refrigerant to the system at this time. I gave her options on replacing the evaporator coil. I also found the gas line to splitting and leaking gas. I showed the homeowner this and I strongly recommended to replace the gas line at this time. The homeowner did not want to replace the gas line at this time.
