Performed preventative maintenance on AC system for customer. Customer changed filters recently and will change them again soon. I inspected the blower assembly, motor, electrical components, evaporator coil, drain and overall condition of equipment in attic. Cleaned condenser coil thoroughly. Inspected the capacitor, contactor, hard start kit, compressor, and fan motor. Fan motor shaft has a little give in it, but still operating, made homeowner aware that it may be starting to go out. Existing hard start kit was also falling apart and needed to be replaced. Brought it up to the customer and recommended replacement as the existing one is no longer operating. Customer approved replacement. I replaced the hard start kit in AC, then checked amps, temperatures and pressures of condenser. System is cooling properly within manufactured specifications at this time.
