I arrived for a non member no cool call. I spoke with the homeowner and they just replaced the thermostat and main control board in the furnace. They also removed and cleaned the evaporator coil and blower motor housing and wheel. I found the Main control board to be miss wired and the thermostat to be internally shorted. I also found wire to be bare wire sitting on the furnace cabinet. I rewired the control board and recommended to replace the thermostat and contactor on the system. The homeowner owner is going to replacing the thermostat and contactor on their own. I started to check the systems refrigerant charge and the homeowner did not want the system checked at this time. He was in a hurry to meet family from out of town at this time. I left with the system not running due to the thermostat issue and the contactor issues on the condenser.
