Came out to call. Customer said system wasn’t cooling and water was leaking on the floor where the furnace and evaporator coil were located. I checked system over and found the floor to be damp. The drain line is a strait run to the sewer line and it wasn’t backed up. I checked AC and found the pressures to be low, indicating the system needs refrigerant. The system ran too long without the proper charge and froze up to the point were it was overflowing with water after they had shut it off. I discussed with customer about options. She approved charging the system for now and then getting the system checked for a leak at a later date if needed. I charged the system with 1.9lbs of 410a to get proper superheat. Customer was also due for a service. I washed the condenser. Checked thermostat operation, wiring, capacitor, contactor, compressor, fan motors and overall condition of system. AC is cooling properly within manufactured specifications at this time.
