Arrived to no cool service call performed evaluation. System has caught on fire. Lots of damage to furnace. Evaporator coil has been leaking on furnace for a very long time. Extensive rusting and rotting on system due to many years of leaking. Concrete flues are illegal per code flue will need replacement. Furnace and coil over 40 years old due to age and condition. System will need replacing. Water on motor most likely caused fire. Due to liability and safety concerns I cannot repair this unit and replacement of system will be my recommendation. Collected diagnostic fee will apply towards system replacement if customer chooses to have work performed.
