I first arrived for a system replacement bid for a customer that is trying to sell there home. I first spoke with the homeowner and found that the house is 2800 sq with a 3 ton system. I recommended to have a larger system installed but this system has been running for 15+ years and has worked fine so far. That also had another company out and they did a tune up on the system and it’s still not working. I inspected the system with the homeowner and found the blower motor to be completely stopped up and the condenser coils to be completely stopped up. I checked the systems refrigerant charge and found the system to be running at -4 deg super heat and the head pressures was running at 408 psi and the compressor was bypassing. I also found the capacitor on the condenser to be weak but is in running condition.
