I arrived for a warranty no cool call. I first spoke with the homeowner and the issue was that the system was charged on last service and now the system runs but dose not cool. I inspected the indoor and outdoor system and found the condenser coil to be covered in oil and the system was running with hardly any refegerant. I pressured the system with nitrogen to 250 PSI and I found one stress fracture in one copper tube that comes from the compressor to the condenser coil. I made this issue aware to the homeowner and discussed what it would take to try and repair this component, replace the condenser coil and the cost difference in replacing the condenser it’s self. We decided to try and fix this stress fracture on this copper tube. I explained that if there is another stress fracture in a different location it will not be covered under warranty.
